Children from 3 – 4 years of age

During his or her development, the child passes through several so-called critical periods. These periods are characterized by an increased level of perceptivity, and a great plasticity of brain operation. If the child is introduced to music at the age of 2 to 4, which is one of the most powerful and intense “critical periods”, his or her creative abilities develop significantly more than at an older age.

PROGRAMME:

Movement

Task: The development of the child’s sense of rhythm

• Short nursery rhymes
• Body reaction to simple rhythmical patterns
• Reaction to changes of rhythm and tempo (march-run)

Singing

Task: The development of music memory

• Repeating individual sounds or short ditties
• Simple songs

Listening

Task: The development of “an ear for music”

• Reaction to different volume of  music (games, fairy-tales)
• Reaction to different sound colour (different instruments, expression of happiness and sadness, stories, etc.)
• Reaction to different pitch of the tone (games with animal noises, fairy-tales)

Games, Dance – Drama

Task: The development of all parts of musical perception

• The body as a music instrument (development of the perception of rhythm and tempo)
• Orff instruments, Improvisation (development of the child’s musical imagination and creativity)
• Short stories from the child’s everyday life (development of the ability to express stories and feelings through music)
• Fairy tales (development of all components of musicality)
• Well-known music pieces introduced through fairy tales and stories (development of musical perception)

Lesson duration: 30 minutes

• Systematic approach to musical education: when your child is prepared to play an instrument or to sing, he/she can join our individual study programmes or group lessons from the age of 4.

FEES and CONDITIONS:

TUITION FEES

No enrollment fee.

Study is separated into terms.  Upon the commencement of lessons, students are required to pay and finish one complete term. The payment can be made either in cash at the first or second lesson or by bank transfer. If the fees are more than 30 days overdue, the student may be dismissed from the classes. Any alternative arrangements must be discussed and approved by the school administration.
